3rd Grade

2023-2024

Physical Activity Game Boards

Each 3rd grader created a game board with different physical activities.

They worked hard on the directions and making the dice, cards, spinners and game pieces.

They had a great time playing eachothers' games in the cafe last week and are excited about bringin them home to play with their families to show the importance of physical activity!

Deck the Halls!

3rd graders worked together to create this collaborative kindness poster for the holidays.

Gobble, Gobble!

During the (short) month of November, 3rd graders created healthy turkeys!  They answered questions on the feathers about physical and mental health, then put it all together!

3rd Grade

Dia de los Muertos Nombre Esqueletos

Mrs. Savage & Mrs. Scambio combined curriculums in 3rd grade to help students increase their knowledge of the skeletal system and the celebration of Day of the Dead.

Skeletons and skulls are the primary decoration for this holiday and what better way to celebrate than with making a skeleton body in Health and a sugar skull in Spanish!

Personal Superpowers

We spent some time learning about differences between people and what our personal strengths are.  3rd graders then designed their own superhero costumes to showcase their personal strengths.  They are amazing humans!

Just Ask! - Be Different, Be Brave, Be You by Sonia Sotomayor - this book was a wonderful read aloud that helped students realize that EVERYONE has personal strengths and what some may view as a weakness can actually be a strength!
