Review: Educated is a memoir that follows the childhood of Tara Westover, the perspective of her survivalist Mormon family on obtaining a formal education, and her own changing views on the value of a formal education. Well this book had to set up a lot of background information in the beginning of the memoir, I found the middle and ending of the book well worth the wait. This book not only made me appreciate the value of my own education, but also made me realize that having an education can open countless doors in my future. I think anyone who enjoys memoirs and success/coming of age stories should give this book a chance.
