Citing Articles from the Databases

If you are using one of the resources found on the Library's Databases, the database will give you the correct citation. Find and click on the "Cite" icon at the top of the page, choose the citation style you want, and copy and paste it into your works cited. The cite icon will look something like this:

Google Docs

Google Docs has a built in citation device. Follow the steps below if you would like to use it.

Screenshots are taken directly from the Google Docs app.

1) Click on the "Tools" dropdown menu and find the "Citation" option.

2) Choose the citation style you want to use from the dropdown menu and click "Add citation source."

3) Select the source type you want to cite and how you accessed the resource from the dropdown menus.
