Students can visit the library to check out a book or print something out in-between classes or if they are sent down by a teacher with a pass. You can also sign up to come during the advisory WIN blocks. Make you sign up ahead of time.
The computers in the library are reserved for printing, making a Help Desk appointment, and searching the library catalog. Students should use their Chromebooks to complete school assignments. If you need to print, create a SmartPass and choose the "Printing" option.
It's very simple! Bring the book(s) you want to check out of the library to the circulation desk and tell the librarian your name. The librarian will check out the book under your student account and that is all there is to it.
There is no limit to the number of books an individual can check out.
Sign into the digital library catalog using your school Google account, find a book you want to check out, and click the "hold" button. If the book is currently available, the library team will grab the book off the shelves, check it out to you, and email you when it is read to pick up*. If the book is currently checked out by someone else, you will get a notification when it has been returned and it is ready to be picked up.
*Please note that this could take up to a day depending on the library schedule.
The loan period for materials borrowed from the library is 20 days. After 20 days you will begin getting emails reminding you to renew or return your book. However, there are no overdue fees for late library materials.
If you lose a book or damage a book beyond repair, you are responsible for its replacement. You can either buy the library a new copy of the book, or pay for the book. If you are unable to replace the book, please speak to the librarian.
At this point, there is no lunch in the library due to lack of coverage and the librarian's schedule.
The library closes at 2 PM. However, the library may be booked by staff members and clubs to host meetings after school.
