PSU is unable to pay printing costs for non-PSU LSAMP students. If you would like to use a local vendor to print your poster, below are two print shops students have used in the past:
Graphic Arts on the PSU campus, Shattuck Hall #107- email Scott Nieradka (nieradka@pdx.edu) and Tom Yang (tyang@pdx.edu).
Graphic Arts have been charging $2/sqft for heavyweight matte paper ($24 for 36’'x48'’).
Cost is less if you opt for bond vellum paper, which is thinner and print quality isn't quite as sharp as heavyweight paper.
Red-e Print N Shop 1915 SW 6th Ave, 97201 Phone: 503-227-6137, email info@redeprintnshop.com $8/sqft
Can place an order by email. (If the request is for 36”x42”, make sure the PDF is that actual size.)
No size restrictions, but for the fastest turnaround time (1-2 business days), if the height of the poster needed is 36” or less
For posters more than 36" high, it takes 3-5 business days
They usually use 80# matte poster paper, which is rollable. They recommend using a tube carrier for travel.
