Cawthra Park Secondary School offers an exceptional science program where students learn through inquiry, exploration, and meaningful hands‑on experiences. Our courses teach big ideas and core scientific concepts while helping students develop essential 21st‑century skills, preparing them to think critically and solve real‑world problems.

Students have access to a wide range of opportunities that enrich their learning beyond the classroom. They can join several science‑focused clubs, including Astronomy Club, Garden Club, STEAM Club, HOSA, Med‑Life, or even join our Science Council, where they help lead events and promote science across the school.

Each year, our department proudly hosts Science Olympics, a school‑wide event where students from all grades come together to compete in fun, engaging science challenges. It’s a highlight of the year and a great way for students to build teamwork, creativity, and scientific thinking.

Our commitment to Inquiry‑Based and Project‑Based Learning means students regularly design their own experiments and apply their learning in meaningful ways.
