What are some strategies we might use to get rid of the hiccups?
Let's Read, Practise and Plan!
Learning Goals:
I am learning how to express personal thoughts and feelings about what has been read
I am learning how to sort ideas and information to express my thinking
I am learning how to create short texts
I am learning how to create multimedia texts to serve a specific purpose for a specific audience
Let's Make, Tinker and Modify
1. How might we use loose parts to make a something that would cure someone's hiccups? How might we use sticky notes to label the parts?
2. How might we use the labelled sticky notes to help explain how it works?
Let's Document, Reflect and Share!
Think about it!
What skills and competencies are students developing while learning?
How might we document, share, reflect and connect with our learning communities in order to drive thinking forward?
How might we encourage our students to document and share?
An idea presented by my friend and colleague, @angelastockman that could be explored in order to document this year's journey.
What would happen if you documented one minute a day? What if you documented one minute of each exploration? How might this help you continue to teach with intention? What would you notice? What could you learn? What additional tools might you use to amplify and share the learning?
How might we scaffold student reflection and metacognition?
What if students imagined themselves as stars on a walk of fame? How might they document their learning journeys as they are happening? How might we collect reflections of learning in order to assemble pathways of success? What technologies might we use?
