Rating: Good
The educational program at Plattsmouth High School (PHS) is comprehensive and is designed to meet the diverse needs of all students. More than 130 courses provide choices for over 450 students. The school uses a wall-to-wall career academy approach. It is organized into three broad career-education academies that offer honors, advanced placement, and dual credit courses. Through these academies, students are prepared academically and otherwise for college and career experiences. The high school building provides a 600-seat auditorium, a 1 to 1 learning initiative, two gymnasiums, an industrial technology lab, a greenhouse, and a state-of-the-art activities complex with synthetic turf. A $7 mil. skilled and technical sciences addition will be completed in 2021. In 2018, PHS received the Outstanding Rule 47 Career Academy Program award from the Nebraska Department of Education. In 2019, PHS's three career academies earned National Career Academy Coalition Model Status.

Our Three Academies
Plattsmouth High School Successes!
Our High School is offering Honors level courses to encourage students to continue to push themselves toward higher-level learning.
Social Workers at all levels addressing student mental health! : )
Also, tremendous staff and administrators who go above and beyond doing what is best for each student; supportive community; and great students.
Show Choir earning gold for the first time last year. Many academic scholarships for students and lowered behavior referrals
Our DECA students continually place and score well at state.
Our students are thriving in Covid conditions in our school (sports, activities, etc.)
When everyone was remote learning, our remote learning was top notch at the HS. Daily classes, high attendance, engaging lessons...
Our school has been in the lead on the improvement processes versus other schools that I know of. We are always the first to implement new ideas and change them up for the benefit of our students.
Our ACL (Academy Core Leaders) program and student leaders, All of our activities and sports programs-these give all students a chance to belong and have pride in our school.
Success isn't always a 1+ rating for the band or a state championship, Our top 10% STARS banquet is really a great way to recognize the hard work of our students. So many really, these are just a few of the ones that pop to the top of my head.
Our FFA members have advanced 4 teams to compete at the state competition, and we had 2 state alternate teams.
When in a pandemic, we still strive for success and find success continuously!
Our yearbook won first place in theme development for class B and had several medalists in other areas.
Our High School students know that we have P.R.I.D.E.! We are Positive, Respectful, Intentional, Determined, and Engaged in learning!
Because of the diligence of teachers, our students continued to be successful even after a break because of Covid. We worked hard to make sure they didn't fall behind while they were remote, and as a result, our students were not academically behind where they should be.
Say Something-it is a wonderful program that is an effective way to protect students!
Our JRROTC program continues to get honors every year.
Despite being ALL VIRTUAL, we had 4 teams competing in our State Finals (3 of which placed 1st and qualified for Global Finals) and representation from several grades.
