ART 140A Intro to Digital Photo
B&W photography - students will explore both darkroom and digital photographic techniques and concepts. Furthering your photography practice will focus on exposing digital as well as 35mm or 120mm film, scanning, working, editing and manipulating images digitally and printing fine art black and white photographs within a variety of analog & digital methods.
Students will dive into Color Digital Photography techniques, exploration of the medium, history and artists, fine art printing and creative solutions for making meaningful work. We will explore and expand our artistic vocabulary through practicing skills and techniques in digital editing and manipulation, exploring multiple methods of making images specifically for exhibition as well as pushing the boundaries of digital photography image making.
