By sharing student, faculty, and alumni stories and giving examples of successful or impactful outcomes, the podcast aims to inspire and affirm the vision that a student at PCC has the potential to do great things.
Participation in the cohort allows Faculty the time to integrate community-based learning into their teaching practice and curriculum. Based on needs identified by community partners, CBL projects and assignments are developed and integrated into their current and/or future courses.
On Friday, May 16, 2025 CEISC invited Deepa Iyer to PCC Southeast for a Social Change Symposium. The event was an opportunity to gather student leaders, faculty, staff, and community partners to learn about and engage with Deepa's Social Change Ecosystem Framework.
Learning Outcomes:
Establishing shared terminology around social change
Articulating and identifying the roles in the social change ecosystem
Aligning values and actions within various ecosystems
Build connections and community relationships for collaboration
Student Organizers hosted a Community Jam. This celebration highlighted the amazing work being done in community with a free concert for PCC students, employees, and community members! Local bands As Above and Johnny Franco, as well as PCC students Kmar Woods and Valkerie performed at the historic Alberta Abbey, located just a few blocks from PCC Cascade!
