Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon
Committed to mutual respect and understanding, Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon brings together diverse communities of faith to learn, serve and advocate for justice, peace and the integrity of creation.
Programs
Filipino Bayanihan Center
We unite Filipinos in Oregon to build community through programming that addresses and advocates for the needs of marginalized Filipinos living in Oregon - including Filipino workers, new migrants, immigrants, youth, elders, women, LGBTQ+, people of faith, and many more of our kababayan.
Immigrant Mutual Aid Coalition
The Immigrant Mutual Aid Coalition (IMAC) is a partnership of members from local immigrant rights and social justice organizations including the Interfaith Movement for Immigrant Justice (IMIrJ), American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), Causa, Never Again Action, PCUN, and others. IMAC formed in response to the September 2020 wildfires to provide a safe and welcoming distribution site in Clackamas County that members of the Latinx and immigrant communities could access. We also support mutual aid efforts in other areas of the state such as Medford, Cottage Grove, and Hillsboro. We provide culturally appropriate food, fresh produce, baby needs, hygiene products, PPE, community resource information, and other needed items. We are all-volunteer and rely on contributions from community members and organizations. At our distribution events (every two to three weeks), we serve between 300 and 400 families in the Portland Metro area
Kasama Farms
Kasama Farm is a queer, Pilipinx-American led land, healing, and love project on Wasco and Wishram land in Hood River County, Oregon.
A space where queer, trans, BIPOC people can find nourishment and show up in their wholeness.
An intergenerational space to reclaim cultural relationships our ancestors had with plants and plant medicines.
A healthy social environment that is energizing to the soul and honors ritual, creativity and joy.
A community-based and community-supported project.
A space filled with the laughter of children, songs and prayers of our elders, and the many colors, patterns, and sounds of our people.
