Donations can be made to the ESOL program
Are you spring cleaning this year?
This term at PCC Sylvania, many teachers gathered donations from friends, family, and neighbors and set up a free table for students to take what they needed. Any leftovers are donated to a thrift store.
Please contact Rachel Skinner if you would like to donate to our free table at rachel.skinner@pcc.edu.
Literacy Hour
Literacy Hour was launched this term! Volunteers from our greater Portland community and Portland Literacy Council came to campus twice a week to work with lower-level students. Tutors mentioned that having access to materials like picture dictionaries and small whiteboards, along with other materials, made the tutoring sessions productive and run smoothly.
Thank you to our Literacy Hour Volunteers!
Paula, Sara, David, Jean, Karen, Joyce, and Daryl, we couldn't have done it without you.
We hope this program returns Fall 2025!
