This course is designed to guide you through the process of creating a professional-level capstone project. Each Module has lectures, reading materials, videos to watch, and checklists to complete that are associated with the module lesson and that help with developing your project.
By progressing through the lesson modules and the capstone project assignments, you’ll build a strong foundation in advanced project management and development, refine your ideas, and ultimately produce a polished final project. By the time you reach the end of the course, you’ll have everything you need to deliver an exceptional capstone that reflects your skills and creativity!

Access to Course Lesson Modules:
Everyone will start with access to the Week 1 Getting Started Lesson Module.
Only students who complete all activities from the Week 1 module will be able to remain in the course and will gain access to the unit modules when they open and to the capstone project handouts that will be available starting in week 2.
When a Unit Lesson Module Opens:
Read the module overview first
Review the checklist to see the tasks, lessons, labs, and assignments you need to complete and when.
Complete each task, using the provided links to access resources, readings, and submission portals.
Marking Off Tasks:
As you complete each task in the checklist, check it off to track your progress. This helps you stay organized and ensures nothing is missed.
Celebrate Your Accomplishments:
Once you’ve completed all tasks on the checklist, take a moment to acknowledge your hard work and progress!
By following a structure, you’ll stay organized, keep making progress, and complete your capstone project.
Stay Consistent: Have a set time you set aside for lessons and working on your project, and use the checklists and calendar to stay on track with assignments and tasks.
Engage with Activities: Dive into the weekly task checklists and the lessons and assignments early to give yourself enough time for revisions and questions.
Submit on Time: Use the Deliverables Page to double-check deadlines and ensure everything is submitted correctly.
Continuously work on your project: A large part of this class involves documentation and planning, however, you should always be working on creating your project.

Capstone Project Assignment Milestones Task Checklist
A checklist is included to help you stay on task with the assignments you are submitting during the term that are related to completing the capstone project. These are the assignment submissions that everyone has to submit for the course. You will set up your milestones and tasks associated with your project for one of the associated assignments.
Individual Handouts for Capstone Project Assignments
Capstone project assignments are open and are due at specific times during the term in the d2L assignments tab. However, you will have access to the handouts with the requirements of each assignment, so you are aware of what you are doing and you can plan.
These will be available in week 2, contingent on your completing week 1: getting started by the due date/deadline.
