About Me

I was five years old when my parents bought a used 911. I fit into the bucket seats in the back. It wasn't long thereafter my family started attending PCA events including Porsche Parade. I come from a family of rallyists; my grandmother and father were a formidable rally team in the 1960's and my father was the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) National Champion in 1964. I started navigating for my dad as a child and became the driver as soon as possible. I grew up in PCA, loving all things Porsche, and anything that could get me in the driver's seat: autocross, rally, funkana.  After I finished my undergraduate degree I moved back to California for law school and joined GGR.

Why do you drive? What motivates you? Do you have any goals?

Oh this one's easy – the rush that you get when you merge speed and precision. Pushing the envelope and stretching your limits is so fun. I love learning more and enhancing my driving skills, wherever those opportunities may fall. I hope to keep competing on the national championship level in road rally as long as possible. I would love to do the Mille Miglia someday; I bet I could win it!  Anyone interested in being my sponsor?

What is your favorite style of driving?

I'll always love rallying. I enjoy time speed distance, gimmick, and Monte Carlo rallies. I've won the PCA National Hoffman Rally Award for the lowest score on the Parade rally 13 times, and won the SCCA National Championship 13 times as well! I'm doing a TED talk style lecture on writing rallies (Rallymaster 101) later this month. Reach out and I'll send the link! That being said, I love autocrossing and spirited drives. I can talk for hours about Formula 1 too.  And I'm obsessed with Dakar.

Are you currently working on a car project?

Always. My primary rally car is my 2006 Cayman S, but I also have a 1973 914 2.0 which I'm restoring a bit at a time. Also, that beloved 1974 911 that started this journey is still in the family and getting a major restoration right now. I can't wait to get that baby back on the road.

Do you have any tips for those looking to get into driving and car events?

I have a pretty busy schedule between national rallies, my work as an estate planning attorney, and my daughter's softball. But something I highly recommend is the GGR social drives. I wanted to get more involved on the local level in PCA, and the social events were a fantastic way to meet people who share the same passion for cars I have. Whether it's the Cars & Coffee, Porsche Brunch, or the special touring drives (these especially are fantastic, watch your email to sign up for them!) I love hanging out with people who can tell me more about different car events and fun things to do.

What would you like to see the GGR club do?

I wish we could have autocrosses closer, but I know finding appropriate locations gets harder and harder.  Zone 7 is starting a local rally series, and I think that is terrific. I also like the idea of some community volunteer events, and I'm working with our new social director Cheryl about that. I like just social hangouts too. There are never enough of those.

Would you be willing to participate in future Porsche events?

Absolutely.  I'm a regular attendee of Porsche Parade and the GGR touring drives, but I've enjoyed Werks and will make sure I'm at the next Rennsport. And while my car is driven way too much for a Concours, I love going to them and seeing beautiful cars.

Member of a car club other than GGR?

Yes, I'm also a member of SCCA. I just was appointed the first ever female chair of the Road Rally Board for SCCA in 2024, and I'm excited to usher in a new era with an emphasis on getting new people into the sport. I also reached Grandmaster status in 2022 which was quite an honor. The competition at the national level in SCCA is fierce, so reaching that level based on lifetime rally results is special and humbling. I also got to compete in the United States Road Rally Challenge in Alaska a few years ago, and that was amazing.

Can people follow you on Instagram or Facebook?

Yep I'm on both! Although I post totally different things on each platform. Make sure you tell me you found me through GGR when you make the request.

Can people reach out to you for a driving tips if they are in your area?

Definitely! I'm always happy to chat cars and driving. Hit me up. I love talking to new people and meeting others who share the same passions. Nothing is like going for a drive though, so anytime someone wants to go have fun on some twisties count me in!

Any Porsche stories you want to share?

I'm pretty darn proud of winning the Parade rally this last year in Palm Springs. My navigator was another multi-generational rallyist named Lisa Gould, and even though we have known each other since we were children we never competed together until this event. She and I became the first ever all female rally team to win overall and we had a perfect zero (rallying is like golf, low score wins) which has never happened in Parade history. It was so exciting. I also got to go to the Porsche Driving Experience in Atlanta and drive a GT3 around the track. It was so much fun.

When you are done with a long day driving event and get to a cafe, what do you order?

I'm a huge loose leaf tea aficionado, so I get excited when I see new teas to try. If there is a London Fog latte or a pu-erh tea on the menu I'm definitely having it!

Doughnuts, Cupcake, or Cookie?

I mean, is there really a bad choice among these? But I once had a cupcake that was truly life changing, so it's hard to pass those up.
