Seminar on “Creating a Professional Profile on LinkedIn" (21st February 2026)
The Mitra Niketan Alumni Association organized a seminar on “Creating and Optimizing a Professional LinkedIn Profile” on 21st February 2026 for students. The session was conducted by alumnus Mr. Dikshith Kundar, a Social Media Strategist and Freelancer.

The seminar guided students on building an effective LinkedIn profile, including key elements such as profile headline, summary, photograph, education details, and skills, along with the use of relevant keywords to improve visibility among recruiters and also helped students understand the importance of maintaining a professional online presence and encouraged them to use digital platforms confidently for networking and career opportunities.

Alumni Meet & Get-Together (13th December, 2025)
The Mitra Niketan Alumni Association organized an Alumni Meet and Get-Together on 13th December 2025 at 5:00 p.m. in the Gala Auditorium, with the participation of 33 alumni. The meeting focused on strengthening alumni collaboration with the college through discussions on placement support, trainer collaboration, scholarship initiatives for students, corporate LinkedIn engagement, and the Google Reviews initiative. The Principal and Chairperson of the Association, along with committee members and core committee members, addressed the gathering. The event provided a valuable platform for interaction, collaboration, and strengthening the bond between alumni and the institution. The program concluded with games and a DJ session, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere for all participants.

· Seminar on Purpose & Passion in Business (24th September 2025)
The Mitra Niketan Alumni Association organized a Seminar on “Purpose & Passion in Business” on 24th September 2025 for students. The session was conducted by alumnus Mr. Succur Kinny (B.Com., 2023), who shared valuable insights from his professional journey. The seminar helped students understand the importance of aligning purpose with passion in building a meaningful and successful career. It encouraged entrepreneurial thinking, goal setting, and a purposeful approach towards future career paths, while also strengthening the bond between alumni and students.
Online “Ganesh Pandal Decoration Competition (6th September 2025)
The Mitra Niketan Alumni Association organized an Online Ganesh Pandal Decoration Competition on 6th September 2025, inviting alumni to creatively decorate their home pandals and submit photographs through a Google Form. The initiative encouraged alumni participation while celebrating the festive spirit and promoting the use of eco-friendly materials. The competition showcased the creativity and environmental awareness of alumni, while strengthening their connection with the institution.
Sport Event- Indoor Games (12th July, 2025)
The Alumni Association and Sports Committee jointly organized “Sports Event- Indoor Games” on 12th July, 2025 from 9.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. in the College Sports Room. Eleven alumni took part in the competition, which included Carrom, Chess and Badminton.
The event was held to give former students a fun and enjoyable way to reconnect with their friends and college, to create a relaxed atmosphere where alumni could take part in friendly games, remember their college days, and strengthen their bond with the institution also to build a sense of community and encouraged alumni to stay connected with the college.
Best Practices of Mitra Niketan Alumni Association
The Alumni Association takes regular feedback from the Alumni on Institution Ambience and Academic Performance for continuous quality improvement.
Alumni Information Sharing:
i. News You Can Use & Business-related Articles received from Library: Knowledge Resource Centre are posted in all WhatsApp groups of alumni.
ii. Regular information about job placements received from alumni and the Job Placement Cell of the College is posted in all alumni WhatsApp groups.
Contribution of Alumni:
i. Monetary: Mr. Salman Shaikh, BMS 2020 has contributed for Alumni Scholarship Drive to help our current needy students for their education.
ii. Non-Monetary:
a) Mr. Succur Kinny B.Com. 2023 was invited to conduct Seminar on Purpose & Passion in Business who shared valuable insights drawn from his professional journey and experiences.
b) Mr. Dikshith Kundar BMS 2024 was invited to conduct Seminar on “Creating and Optimizing a Professional LinkedIn Profile” to help students to build a strong professional profile and present their academic background and skills effectively on LinkedIn.
Alumni Scholarship to Current Students:
i. Six needy students were provided with a monetary scholarship.
E-Certificate: From this year onwards, the winners of activities conducted for alumni will be provided with e-certificates via email, and medals for sports events will be awarded on the spot.
