Career Guidance Programme

Four alumni Maadhavi Samant B.Com 2006-2007, Manish Shetye B.Com 2007 2008, Suraj Mane BMS 2011-2012 & Salman Shaikh BMS 2019-2020 to conduct Career Guidance Programme for our Junior College Students on 25th March, 2023 to orient the students about various programs they can take up at Patuck-Gala College and the various career avenues they can take up after 12th standard.
The students interacted with alumni by asking their doubts for a better understanding of a future endeavor.
Sport Event – Box Cricket & Football Tournament

“Sports Event- Box Cricket & Football Tournament” on 25th February, 2023 on the turf was jointly organized by the Association and Sports Committee where 12 (twelve) alumni participated in the tournament. The event was for alumni to reconnect with fellow batch mates and socialize with current students as well to keep the sportsmanship spirit zestful and to develop social networking among them.
The alumni and students enjoyed playing and chatting with each other.
Guest Lecture on “WHAT NEXT”

Alumnus Mr. Suraj Mane BMS 2011-2012 who is working currently at Morgan Stanley as a Risk Reporting Manager conducted the lecture on “WHAT NEXT” on 14th January, 2023 for the students of B. Com, BMS & B. Com. (B&I) to share his experience working in various company, the journey after the completion of graduation, the struggle and losses in business that did not stop him but have learned new lessons and how he reached to his current job at Morgan Stanley as a Risk Reporting Manager.
Also, to make them students self-realize about WHAT NEXT, the preparation for WHAT NEXT and knowledge of WHAT NEXT…
Students have explained the importance of communication & Listening Skills, Upgrading on new technology a learner (learn new skills)
Sports Event- Indoor Games

“Sports Event- Indoor Games” jointly organized by Association and Sports Committee for alumni on 8th October, 2022 in the College Sports Room where 9 (nine) alumni participated in the event to relive, rewind the College days and reconnect with fellow batch mates and an opportunity to socialize with faculty members.

“Ganesha Pandal Decoration Competition” organized for alumni i.e. they have to click the photograph of Ganesh Pandal decorated at their home and upload the same in the Google form.

The association always tries to bring possible options to bring enjoyment among alumni and hence we have chosen an online platform for maximum alumni participation for the same to enhance creativity and develop spirituality among alumni.

It was amazing to see that the alumni used eco-friendly materials to decorate the pandals beautifully which showed the creativity and spirituality to welcome Lord Ganesha.
Best Practices of Mitra Niketan Alumni Association
1. Each year alumni working in various fields are invited to conduct Guest lectures to impart knowledge among the students about the current scenario of the corporate market.
2. Sports event indoor games & outdoor tournaments are organized for alumni to reconnect with College, and fellow batch mates and to socialize and develop networks with current students as well.
3. Alumni are involved in providing their valuable feedback on the Curriculum.
4. News You Can Use & Business-related Articles received from Library: Knowledge Resource Centre are posted in all WhatsApp groups of alumni.
5. Alumni are given an opportunity to participate in our College Conference and published their research Paper in the Conference Proceedings.
6. Alumni are also given opportunities to write for our College Udaan magazine it may be their original poems, article, essay, short stories, shayaris, etc.,
7. Alumni are invited to groom our Junior College students on Career opportunities in the current market and guide them about programs that they can take up at Patuck-Gala Degree College and the career avenues.
8. Alumni are invited to pass on their talents to our current students through choreographing dance etc. for Annual Cultural Day Celebration.
