Seminar on Alumni Experiences from College to Career (8th February 2025)
On February 8, 2025, the Mitra Niketan Alumni Association organized a Seminar on "Alumni Experiences from College to Career" for FYBCom (MS), SYB.Com, SYBMS, and FYBMS students. Alumna Ms. Shilu Patwa (B. Com 2017) conducted the seminar.
The Seminar focused on sharing real-life experiences and advice about transitioning from College to a Career. It highlighted the importance of practical skills, networking, and career planning. By the end of the session, students gained a better understanding of how to navigate the shift to professional life, along with tips for enhancing their employability and career success.
Sport Event- Outdoor Games (8th February, 2025)
On February 8, 2025, the Alumni Association and Sports Committee organized a "Sports Event - Outdoor Games" at the College Turf. Alumni participated in Box Cricket and Football, with Mr. Yogeshwar Patil officiating the matches.
The event gave alumni a chance to relive their college memories, reconnect with old friends, and bond with faculty members. It successfully promoted teamwork and unity, helping to strengthen the relationship between alumni and the College.
· Online “Ganesh Pandal Decoration Competition (17th September 2024)
On September 17, 2024, the Mitra Niketan Alumni Association held an "Online Ganesh Pandal Decoration Competition." Alumni were asked to submit pictures of their Ganesh Pandal decorations through a Google form. Eleven alumni participated, and the decorations were judged based on materials, creativity, and presentation.
The alumni used eco-friendly materials for their decorations, showing their commitment to sustainability. The event gave alumni a chance to showcase their artistic skills while staying connected to the college's traditions. Winners will receive e-certificates as a reward for their efforts.
Seminar on Cryptocurrency (24th August, 2024)
On August 24, 2024, the Mitra Niketan Alumni Association and the Department of Accountancy organized a Seminar on Cryptocurrency for F.Y.B.Com.(B&I) students. The Seminar was conducted by alumnus Mr. Salman Shaikh (BMS 2020).
The Seminar aimed to help students understand the basics of cryptocurrency, its history, and its development over time. It also provided hands-on practice with cryptocurrency transactions and explored how digital currencies are used. The session was well-received and offered valuable insights into the world of cryptocurrency.
Sport Event- Indoor Games (13th July, 2024)
On July 13, 2024, the Alumni Association and Sports Committee organized an "Indoor Games Sports Event" in the College Sports Room from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Fifteen alumni participated in games like Carrom, Chess, and Table Tennis. The event was judged by Mr. Yogeshwar Patil. The goal was to provide a fun way for alumni to reconnect with each other and strengthen their bond with the College. The event was a success, as alumni enjoyed catching up, making new connections, and participating in the games. It helped build a closer relationship between the alumni and the College, encouraging future involvement in events.
Best Practices of Mitra Niketan Alumni Association
Each year, alumni working in various fields are invited to conduct seminars to impart knowledge to students about the current scenario of the corporate market. This year, we invited alumnus Mr. Salman Shaikh, a Sales Executive at LA Technologies Pvt. Ltd., to conduct a seminar on Cryptocurrency. The session aimed to help students understand the fundamentals, history, and evolution of cryptocurrency, offer practical experience with cryptocurrency transactions, and explore different use cases. The seminar was highly appreciated for the in-depth knowledge shared by the alumnus. Additionally, another seminar, "Alumni Experiences: From College to Career," was conducted by alumna Ms. Shilu Patwa. This session provided students with practical insights and guidance on transitioning from college to career, focusing on skills, networking, and career planning. Ms. Patwa motivated students by sharing her experiences and showcasing diverse career opportunities and pathways. Both seminars were greatly appreciated by the students.
The Committee organized an online Ganesh Pandal Decoration Competition for alumni to participate in from home. Alumni who decorated their pandals at home were asked to take photos of their decorations and submit them via a Google form for the competition. This also provided an opportunity to reconnect with the college. The winners are invited to award them on Convocation Ceremony Day.
A sports event including indoor games, box cricket, and a football tournament was arranged for alumni to relive their college memories, reconnect with old friends, and engage in socializing. It also served as a platform for networking with current students. The winners are invited to award them on Convocation Ceremony Day.
