Hello everyone, I am Ashwini Suvarna an alumna of such a good institute named Patuck-Gala College of Commerce & Management. Studying and while at this College was my biggest learning and achievement phase. The best part of this College is that they treat every single student equally with care and understanding. I was always actively involved in sports and fine arts and also won prizes in it. But the life changing part was my participation in NSS. At first, I didn't know anything about what is done in it, and joined it for fun and attending camps. But later, during the three years at the College, I realized that it developed in me leadership qualities and improved several skills in me. From getting selected for State level Avhan Camp to first student from the College to get selected at the National level Adventure Camp, experiences taught me many things. Alongside my self confidence and communication skills improved too. I was elected as the General Secretary of the College and was a matter of pride as I happened to be the first girl student in that role. I was also made the NSS student head and student Discipline head. These posts came along with responsibilities, so I learnt to be an independent girl. Attended many intercollegiate events too and won many prizes for the College. The biggest achievement for me was receiving the District level Best Volunteer Award (female) from the Vice-Chancellor of our University of Mumbai. My academics, even after being actively involved in many intra and inter-collegiate events, was remarkably good. I was always among the top scorers of the College, because the teachers here teach so well that it became so easy for me to score good marks. I was also awarded the Outstanding Student of the Year 2nd runner up and Best Student of the Year too. It was really my pleasure and honour to graduate from such a good College, because everyone right from the Principal to the teaching and non teaching staff all have always been supportive to make me a better person.

I always wanted to be a management student, but it was then difficult for me to enroll in the Management stream having below 50% score in Higher Secondary, and not only that I had to see how I could continue full time working as well to meet my financial shortfalls. I tried in various good colleges in Mumbai to enroll for admission in BMS but all attempts went in vain. It is only this College that realizes every child is not born with a golden spoon and that all should be provided with an equal opportunity and shouldn't be always judged based on grades & standard of living. I finally got admission in the BMS stream at Patuck-Gala College and could continue my goal and vision.

My College days are unforgetable and in fact those days are the happiest & fruitful days in my life. I proudly feel that I cherished every moments of my College days. Being a student of Patuck-Gala College of Commerce & Management make me feel proud. My experience in College was just amazing. I got infinite love & learn new lessons from my teachers made me do “Hard Work” to get the success which was I got a lot. So truly would like to thank the wonderful faculty and proud to be a part of our College …
Our College is much beyond just an “Institution” … It actually denotes a “Culture” …Culture of excellence, empowerment, and enrichment. I am blessed that College has molded my personality and clarified my vision towards my future. That day is not far when people will recognize me with the name of my College and I am very grateful to the Institute for providing guidelines and motivation to inspire me to achieve my goals.
Achievements-applauds, opportunities-thoughts, this is what I gained from my College. It gave me a platform that I will cherish always. Sometimes I have won and sometimes I have learned. Right from inspiring words of our College Principal to petty sweet scolding of our beloved teachers, my life in Patuck College was and will be the best experience in my life. This is the College accept our falls and make us stand again to climb the ladder of success.
That’s the reason I am connected as alumna with the College Mitra Niketan Alumni Association. Always try to attend meetings and to be part of Alumni activities. I do not miss but always remember my College days. We alumni happy to be connected and ready to contribute our valuable times towards college.
I am Grateful to God that I had this College as the stepping stone of my career life. College made me the person who I am today… Bold & Confident.
