As the training arm of the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE)'s Bureau of Special Education (BSE), The Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN) provides a full array of professional development and technical assistance, free to Pennsylvania local education agencies, administrators, educators, and families, targeted to improving student results.


PaTTAN's IDEA funded professional development and technical assistance takes many forms in order to meet the varied needs of Pennsylvania constituents:

  • week-long summer institutes

  • ongoing professional development series

  • web resources

  • on-site technical assistance

  • individual student or teacher supports
