Why Join The APR Mentoring Project?
If you are a novice special education personnel with 3 or less years of experience, you will be matched with a mentor in the same or similar role as you.
Mentors with 5 or more years of experience support our newest special education personnel and share resources, ideas, and practical information.
Mentoring pairs are expected to meet at least 30 minutes once a month from October to May.
Mentors and mentees can meet in-person at the APR Networking Event at the PA Department of Education conference on February 25, 2026. Conference registration and one-night of lodging at the Hershey Lodge will be paid for mentors and mentees that participate in this in-person Networking Event.
Implementation logs from past mentors and mentees explain the value of joining! Read what some of our mentors and mentees have to say about their participation.
