2024-2026 Developing Future Special Educators Grant
Are you up for the challenge to inspire the next generation of special educators?
WHY apply? Impact the current educator shortage by promoting the rewarding careers of special education personnel to secondary and/or postsecondary students.
WHO is eligible to apply?
Local Education Agencies (LEAs) including approved private schools, career technical education centers, charter schools, cyber charter schools, intermediate units, and school districts.
Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs) including private and public two- and four-year colleges and universities.
WHAT is required? Develop or enhance opportunities for secondary/postsecondary students to learn about special education career pathways and/or work with students with disabilities.
HOW much funding is available? Up to $20,000 over the two-year grant period.
WHEN does the grant start? Summer 2024 and continue through June 2026.
