Chapters 48-59

Cha. 48: Cody is still curious about Sophie’s real parents.

Cha. 49: A big wave hit the boat and brought back a very faint memory of Sophie’s.

Cha. 50: Sophie’s legs got hurt, Cody’s face is damaged, and Brian’s right arm is injured. The boat wasn’t in good shape either. The boat is a mess, Sophie, Cody, and Brian are hurt, everything is a mess.


Cha. 51: Cody starts to ponder if they will make it or not.

Cha. 52: Sophie relates the wave to birth while talking about how everyone is jittery and still in pretty bad shape. 

Cha. 53: Sophie tells another story about Bompie, but this one is different than the other ones. This one is about him and his father. 


Cha. 54: Even though Cody is hurt, he fixes the boat, and they have no way of contacting anyone of they need help.

Cha. 55: Everything is very wet, and Sophie, trying to keep it together, is still hurt. But things are looking up. The crew have been working hard to make that boat livable again. Cody has hope that they will make it after all. 


Cha. 56: The crew have been trying to use the sextant for navigation, Sophie has lost her passion for the sea for right now, and they are almost to England to Bompie.


Cha. 57: Bompie is on Sophie’s mind.

Cha. 58: Sophie tells a story about the little kid that doesn’t want to remember what happened to her parents.

Cha. 59: Uncle Stew is nicer, the big wave reminded a lot of Sophie’s dreams, that a wave like that would be there, and Sophie and Cody bonded a little over the big and that they were thinking the same thing in the moment.
