The Coffeehouse
The setting of the book Fever 1793 takes place in Philadelphia, the largest city in Pennsylvania. But a majority of the book takes place in a little coffeehouse that Matilda's family runs and lives in. In the beginning of the book, it's a small, calm, and quiet cafe located at Seventh and High Street. In the middle of the book, it's an abandoned, messy, and broken coffeehouse that no one goes to or runs anymore. But luckily, by the end of the book, it is a popular, loud cafe that many people love to go to.
