ADEBUKOLA “ADDIE” ADELUGBA, Third Grade Homeroom
Having spent the last school year as a teaching assistant in Park’s Kindergarten, Addie now joins the third grade team as a homeroom teacher. Prior to teaching at Park, Addie was an Upper Lower School teacher at Bryn Mawr School, and an Instructional Assistant at Baltimore Lab School. Addie holds a B.S. in Family and Human Services from Towson University and an M.A.T. in Special Education and Elementary Education from Goucher College.

AMY ANCONA, Lower School Counselor
Amy joins us as our Lower School counselor. She most recently served as a school counselor in the Natick public school system in Natick, Massachusetts. In this role, she supported elementary-age students, created SEL-related curriculum, counseled employees and caregivers, and was a member of the school's Crisis Team. Amy holds a B.A. in Psychology from Clemson University and an Ed.M. in School Counseling from Boston University.

ANNA DROEGE, Lower School Science
Already familiar with Park as a Lower School STEM co-teacher last school year, working closely with our classroom teachers to develop and implement STEM programming, Anna assumes the role of full-time Lower School science teacher. Prior to coming to Park, Anna was a DIY Manager at the Maryland Science Center, where she also created and implemented programming and projects for young people. Anna holds a B.A. in Biology and Minor in Studio Art from Oberlin College.

SHANNON LEVAN, Kindergarten
Shannon joins the Kindergarten team this fall. Shannon was previously a Kindergarten Afterschool Teacher at Capital Language Services and was a Lead Teacher at The Christian Cooperative Preschool. Shannon believes strongly in play-based education, which is what drew her to Park. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from Hampton University and an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Lesley University and Shady Hill School Training.

KATELYN LEVINSON, Lower School Librarian and Grade 1 Assistant Teacher
Katelyn joins two groups this fall as a Lower School librarian and an assistant in our first grade. Besides being a supportive and engaged Park parent, Katelyn most recently worked as a Kindergarten Assistant at Krieger Schechter Day School. Katelyn was also a Preschool Teacher at The Learning Ladder at Temple Oheb Shalom. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Goucher College and an M.Ed. in Reading from Towson University.

MEGHAN MARINUCCI, Lower School Technology Coordinator
Meghan joins Park as our Lower School technology coordinator and teacher. Meghan most recently served as Technology Teacher, Director, Integration Specialist, and Chromebook Program Director at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Towson, Maryland. In these roles, she taught technology across Pre-K through Grade 8, provided direct support to students and faculty, and was responsible for the school's Chromebook 1:1 program. Prior to that, Meghan provided technology professional development to teachers at Lewistown Elementary School in Thurmont, Maryland. Meghan holds a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.Ed. in Technology Facilitation, both from Mount St. Mary's University.
KATIE AMAN, Middle School Administrative Assistant
The Middle School welcomes Katie as an Administrative Assistant. Katie recently worked as an Administrative Legal Assistant for The Disability Law Center of Robert Piazza Jr. Prior to that, she was a Project Manager and Client Care Coordinator for AMRestore. Katie has extensive experience providing support and resources to various constituent groups and at many levels of administration. Katie holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Franklin & Marshall College and an M.A. in Philosophy from University of South Carolina.

JACKLYN DEACON, Middle School Spanish
The Middle School Modern Language department welcomes Jacklyn as a Spanish teacher this fall. Most recently, Jacklyn was the Family Outreach & Communication Coordinator for Young Audiences of Maryland. In this role, she oversaw communication and served as a liaison between families, the organization, and teaching staff, as well as supported Spanish/English translation for all programming. Prior to this role, Jacklyn was the lead Spanish program teacher at Bolton Hill Nursery & Childcare Center. Jacklyn holds a B.A. in Language and Culture – Spanish from SUNY Purchase College and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics – Spanish and Latin American Linguistic, Literary, and Cultural Studies from New York University.

CARRIE VAUGHN, Middle School Science
Carrie previously served as the Middle School Integrated Studies teacher and Science and Sustainability Specialist at the Blue School, a progressive independent school in New York City. In this role, Carrie designed and co-taught integrated science and social studies classes centered on life, earth, and physical sciences, first peoples, the industrial era, and climate justice. She has also worked as a Program Coordinator for the NYU Hudson River Education and Stewardship Program. Carrie earned a B.A. in Anthropology from Smith College, an M.A. in Environmental Conservation Education from New York University, and an M.F.A. in Poetry at Oregon State University.
SALVADOR BARAJAS, Upper School English
Most recently, Salvador served as adjunct professor at both the Maryland Institute College of Art and the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. He has also previously taught at the middle and high school levels. Salvador holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, an M.A.L.S. in Humanities from Hollins University, and a Ph.D. in English (Media, Art and Text) from Virginia Commonwealth University.

SAM CHAPIN, Upper School History
Sam most recently taught US History and other electives, such as Exploring Race and Racism, at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts. At Deerfield, Sam also coached Varsity rowing, served as the faculty advisor to the Black Students Association, was a member of the Technology & Learning and Inclusion committees, and facilitated the faculty anti-racist White Learning Space. Sam holds a B.A. in History from Williams College and an M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania.

HATLEY CLIFFORD, Upper School English
Hatley joins Park from the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities at Ball State University, where she was an assistant teaching professor. While there, Hatley taught a number of courses, including Modernist Literature, Revolutions in American Poetry, and American Ecopoetry. Additionally, Hatley was Chair of the Inclusion Oversight Committee and a Title IX Coordinator. She holds a B.A. in English from Virginia Military Institute, an M.A. in English from Virginia Tech, and a Ph.D. in English from West Virginia University.

ELIZABETH DE LA REGUERA, Upper School Science
Elizabeth joins the Upper School science department in a more permanent position this year. Prior to joining Park, Elizabeth worked as a Recruitment Coordinator for the Semester in Environmental Science program at Marine Biological Lab, recruiting undergraduate students to attend this study away program. Elizabeth was also a Teaching Assistant for the Analysis and Management of Aquatic Ecosystems at Dickinson College. Elizabeth holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Dickinson College and an M.S in Marine-Estuarine and Environmental Science from the University of Maryland.

DAVID FENIGSTEIN, Upper School Science
The Upper School science department welcomes David Fenigstein. Most recently, David worked for Strategic Education, INC as a UX Strategist, focused on creating systems and frameworks that increased engagement and communication for education-related clients. Prior to his work in the private sector, David taught math and physics at The Vistamar School in El Segundo, California, The Oxbow School in Napa, California, and The New Hampton School in New Hampton, New Hampshire. David earned a B.S. in Psychology from Oberlin College, an M.S. in Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Space Sciences, and an M.S.E. in Electric Engineering, both from University of Michigan.

SONJA HAYES, Upper School History
Sonja joins Park from the Greenhill School in Dallas, Texas, where she served as a US history teacher, librarian, and Upper School equity and inclusion coordinator. Prior to Greenhill, Sonja was a history teacher and librarian at the Shelton School and a public school librarian, both in Dallas. Sonja holds a B.A. in Political Science and an M.S. in Mass Communication from Southern University and A&M College, an M.L.S. from Louisiana State University, and a Graduate Academic Certificate in Youth Services from University of North Texas.

ALEXIS HUDES ’16, Upper School Science
Alexis graduated from Park with the Class of 2016 and returns to teach science in the Upper School. Most recently, Alexis served as a STEM teacher at Full Circle Elementary School in Bernardston, Massachusetts, and prior to that as a Kids Club Program Director at the Boys & Girls Club of Brattleboro, Vermont. Alexis was also a physics tutor with GiftEd Tutoring. At Park, Alexis was involved with the International Student-led Arctic Monitoring and Research program and our tech crew. Alexis holds a B.A. in Physics from Bates College.

CAROLINE INGRAM, Upper School History
Caroline joins Park from The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, where she taught ninth grade history and other electives, and coached Varsity and JV field hockey and JV girls’ basketball. Caroline also spent a summer interning at the National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. She earned a B.A. in History and Hispanic Studies from Vassar College and an M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Blair joins the Upper School science department from the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland, where he served as a science teacher covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Blair also coached JV soccer, JV tennis, and volunteered for a number of committees at the school. Blair holds a B.S. from University of Auckland, New Zealand, a Graduate Diploma of Secondary Teaching from Massey University, New Zealand, a Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Development, and a Ph.D. in Nature of Science, both from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

TARA NORTHCOTT, Upper School Technology Coordinator and Computer Science
Tara joins the Upper School as Technology Coordinator and Computer Science teacher. Tara was the Upper School Academic Technologist and Computer Science teacher at the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland, where she worked with teachers and specialists to integrate digital technology in the curriculum and taught multiple technology-related classes. Tara also taught summer coding classes at the Landon Summer Program. Tara holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Ball State University, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada, and a Ph.D. in Education (Technology Integration) from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

ANNE PORTER, Upper School History
Anne joins Park from San Francisco, California, where she served as the history department chair at Schools of the Sacred Heart. Anne has taught history at every high school grade level and has led a number of initiatives with her department, including a school-wide day of dialogue about the ways we tell the story of race in the United States. Previously, she was history department chair at both The Branson School in Ross, California, and the Laurel School in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Anne holds a B.A. in Medieval Studies from Yale University and an M.A. in History from Harvard University.

LIZ RANSOM, Upper School Spanish
Elizabeth (Liz) Ransom joins the Upper School modern language department as a Spanish teacher. Most recently, Liz taught Spanish and was the World Languages Department Chair at St. Paul's School for Girls, where she supervised both Middle and Upper School Language faculty and taught Spanish 2 through post-AP independent studies. Liz is also an AP Reader for Spanish Language and Culture Exam. Liz holds a B.A. in English from John Carroll University and an M.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Ursuline College.

GARRETT RULEY, Upper School Math
Garrett most recently served as an Associate Consultant for Vera Solutions. He also founded Bifrost Mathematics Tutoring, a company that provides tutoring services to students regardless of their financial situation. A graduate of Swarthmore College, Garrett wrote his honors thesis on “combining survey and interview methods to understand stereotypes in mathematics education and describe how these stereotypes increase gender, class, and racial inequality in mathematics achievement.” He holds a B.A. in Mathematics and an Honors Special Major in Education and Sociology/Anthropology.
KATIE ACKLEY, Director of Nursing Services
Katie joins Park as our new Director of Nursing Services. Katie has deep and significant experience working with pediatric patients, most recently as a registered nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at GBMC Hospital. Prior to that, Katie was a registered nurse for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. In her interview process, Katie was clear about her excitement about working with young people in a school environment like Park. Katie holds a B.S. in Nursing from The Pennsylvania State University and is a licensed registered nurse in the state of Maryland.

CHRIS CASE, Director of Library Services and Instructional Technology
Chris joined Park this summer as our new Director of Library Services and Instructional Technology. Chris was previously the Head of Technical Services for the Sheridan Libraries at Johns Hopkins University. Having spent almost all of his career at Hopkins, he was also appointed chair of the Ivy Plus Technical Services Group and the User-Centered Services Management Group. Chris earned a B.A. in English from Boston College and an M.L.S. with a Concentration in Archival Studies from the University of Maryland.

PAUL CHRISTENSEN, Technical Theater Director
Paul served as a Middle School proctor during the 2020-21 academic year and joins us this year as our new Technical Theater Director. Prior to coming to Park, Paul worked for many years as the Stage Design and Production Program Leader at Baltimore School for the Arts. In this role, he originated, implemented, and supervised curriculum for stage design and production, as well as provided courses on Scenic Arts, Stage Lighting, Stage Management, and Script Analysis. Paul also worked as a Production Manager for the Columbia Festival of the Arts in Columbia, Maryland. Paul holds a B.A. in English and Theater Arts from Trinity College and a Master of Humanities from Notre Dame of Maryland University.

YAZMINE FLEMING, Cross-divisional Music and Performing Arts
Yazmine joins us as a cross-divisional music and performing arts teacher with a focus on our Lower and Middle School divisions. Most recently, Yazmine was a Lower School General Music teacher at The Friends School, teaching Pre-K through 5th Grades in this capacity. Yazmine's focus as a music teacher is to lead with passion, creativity, and an emphasis on social justice. Prior to joining the Friends faculty, Yazmine held a number of faculty positions at the collegiate-level, including at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Kent State University, and California Institute of the Arts. Yazmine holds a B.F.A. in Keyboard Studies from California Institute of the Arts and an M.M. in Piano Performance from Kent State University.

LAUREN SEAHORN, Executive Assistant to the Head of School and Re-enrollment Manager
Most recently, Lauren was the Senior Process Executive - Data for Cognizant Technology Solutions, where she was responsible for defining business requirements for organizational processes, achieving productivity standards, and adhering to accuracy standards. While Lauren has significant experience in the private sector, she also worked as the Business Manager and Volunteer Coordinator for Westbank Community Library in Austin, Texas. Lauren holds a B.S. in Family Science from the University of Maryland and an M.S. in Human Resource Management from University of Maryland Global Campus.

DAN SCHOCHOR, Associate Head of School for Finance and Operations
As Park’s Associate Head of School for Finance and Operations, Dan will play an integral role in creating long-term and strategic goals to ensure the school’s sustainability and strength for years to come, and will supervise all areas of school finance and operations to ensure that they are mission-aligned and following best practices in the field. Most recently, Dan served as an educational consultant and as Executive Director of Baltimore Homecoming, an innovative program that brings Baltimore natives back to our city through a multi-day event that marries Baltimore’s legacy with its future. Prior to this work, Dan served as Executive Director and President at Green Street Academy, a Grades 6–12 public charter school in West Baltimore that has grown to support 875 students in one of the most innovative and exciting public school models in the country. During his tenure at Green Street, Dan grew the program to include new career, technology, and education options, a student-run farm that is a model for urban farming and aquaculture, and a fully funded internship program that now places more than 250 students in paid internships. He also led the school’s successful efforts to complete a $20 million renovation of its historic building, now recognized as the second largest LEED Platinum building in the world. His strong skill set includes deep experience in budget management, debt financing, and the regulatory and legal issues that schools navigate — all of which will serve Park well in the coming years.
Dan earned a B.A. in Education and United States History from Brown University, and his M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, both from The Pennsylvania State University.

JOSH LAUREN ’03, Alumni Director
Josh joins the Development Office as the new Alumni Director. A graduate of Park with the Class of 2003, Josh spent the past 14 years working in educational settings. He most recently served as Director of School and Community Partnerships for Teach for America – Western Massachusetts. Prior to that he worked at Achievement First Charter Schools in Brooklyn, New York, and at Summer Search, a youth mentoring and leadership development program in San Francisco, before joining Teach for America. Josh also taught middle school language arts in Thoreau, New Mexico, as a Teach for America Corps member. Josh earned his B.A. from Skidmore College.

AKIRA TOWNES ’13, DEI Fellow
We re-welcome Akira as our inaugural DEI Fellow. Before recently returning to Baltimore, Akira had been working on a significant project for Tacoma Roots in Washington, with a goal of exploring the forums, organizations, and social infrastructure that exists in Tacoma that center BIPOC learning and engagement around the environmental injustices they face. Akira also worked as a graduate teaching assistant for the University of Washington School of Public Health, supporting faculty and students in the program. Akira holds a B.A. in Biology from Bates College and an M.P.H. from the University of Washington.
