"When Thou is Prepared"

by Sam Kaplan

I hope that thou do not think what I am saying is strange;

Alas, there is no one in the world that can compare to thee;

I realize that my love for thee will never change,

For I am heavy every night thou are not beside me.

Mine own kin sayeth thou art quaint,

And I most forsooth concur;

Our distance shall not beest a constraint;

I shall calleth thee at which the hour is late; yond is f’r sure.

If’t be true I needeth to, I shall waiteth f’rever;

Sayeth the w’rd and I shall beest eft to leaveth;

Thee knoweth yond we fiteth togeth’r;

I knoweth thy bosom like the back of mine own handeth.

Ten years from now when thy soulmate hast not been found,

Tell me when thou is prepared; I promise I shall be waiting ‘round.
