Internship Goals
To help students develop their professional skills.
To help students better understand workplace norms and expectations.
To help students gain a better understanding of the industry they hope to enter in the future.
To make students more employable and better set up for success after high school.
Practices
We "onboard" students by teaching professional skills prior to starting.
We support students by coaching them in their internship experiences.
We support partners through at least three routine check-ins during the semester, providing opportunity for coaching and mentoring as needed.
Student Expectations
For students to own their schedules and communicate professionally.
To complete a minimum of 6 hours per week.
To adhere to the professional dress expected.
To complete a capstone project developed in class and presented to partners.
To transport themselves, or manage district provided transportation as needed.
