Music Director and Makeup Crew Head
Katherine Garramone has played cello for 18 years. She is in her second year of teaching orchestra at PPA. She came to us after teaching at another school for the last three years. Katherine discovered her love for music through her own public school orchestra experience in Mapleton Public Schools. While Katherine played the cello in her school program, and participated in the Front Range Youth Symphony, and Camp Con Brio. Katherine earned a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, with an emphasis in the Performing Arts, from the University of Northern Colorado. She also minored in Special Education and Music Education. She is continuing her education at Metro State University. She is loving her time here at PPA and is excited to be apart of this wonderful community.
Music Director
This is Danielle's 2nd year at PPA and she is thrilled to continue working with developing musicians! She has been teaching in Colorado for 12 years. Danielle holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice Performance from the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music, with advanced coursework in vocal pedagogy and choral conducting. She came to PPA from the Colorado Springs Children's Chorale where she worked as a director and vocal coach for 3 years, and continues to teach privately. Some of her notable collaborations in the Colorado region have included: Opera Fort Collins, Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble, Evans Choir, Colorado Saints Chorale, Colorado Ballet Orchestra, Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Equinox Theatre, Inspire Creative, Parker Arts Education, collaborations with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic through the Bravo Vail! Music Festival, and even singing backup for Josh Groban at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. She most recently appeared in Handel's Messiah as the soprano soloist and Rob Gardner's Lamb of God oratorio as Mary Magdalene and Mary of Bethany. Danielle loves singing and teaching music of all genres. In her *limited* spare time, she enjoys crafting, cooking, anything to do with the ocean, and spending time with her husband and three kids.
Choreographer
Becca Greer has been at PPA for 9 years! She has over 20 years of dance and musical theater experience. Outside of PPA she choreographs for Lutheran High School and is a teacher for Inspire Theater Company. When not dancing or teaching Mrs Greer loves spending time with her husband and sweet little girl, Clara.
Dean of the Arts and Director
Caitlin Conklin-Hilzer has been one of PPA’s Theatre teachers for the last 4 years, and has been a teacher for 8 years! She graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance, a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction. Ms. Conklin-Hilzer teaches, performs, directs, and music directs frequently outside of PPA. Most recently, she performed as the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz at the PACE Center. She is also the second oboist with Stratus Chamber Orchestra. When she’s not performing or teaching at PPA, Ms. Conklin-Hilzer can be found spending time with her English bulldog, Molly.
Director and Choreographer
Carolyn Jordan has been a MS Theatre Teacher at PPA since 2018. Ms. Jordan grew up in Cleveland, Ohio then went on to earn her BFA in Theatre - Acting from West Virginia University. Before landing in Colorado, she traveled the country for 2.5 years as a Tour Actor/Director with Missoula Children's Theatre. When not at PPA, Ms. Jordan shares her love of the performing arts while teaching Music Together classes, singing with The Original Dickens Carolers, and directing at Spot On Theatre. Director
Sammie Legg has been teaching educational theatre professionally since 2021. She has had the privilege to teach at middle schools, high schools, and through community programs. Growing up in the Colorado theatre community, Sammie has worked both on and off the stage for over 15 years. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Theatre Education (K-12) from the University of Northern Colorado. Outside of PPA, Sammie works as a director, choreographer, and camp organizer for Spot On Theatre and other theatre camp programs.
Production and Stage Manager
Kayla is in her 9th year of teaching technical theater at Parker Performing Arts School. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications with a dual emphasis in film studies and communication and a Master's degree in Arts Leadership and Cultural Management from Colorado State University. She has stage managed and assisted with tech on several shows at both the college and children's level.
