Elementary Audition Packet for Shrek Jr.
Middle School Audition Packet for Shrek Jr.
Have fun! Seriously, it’s all about the fun.
We are looking for originality, we want you to make your own character choices. Don’t be afraid to be silly or over the top. More times than not, it is exactly what we are looking for.
Be sure to stay hydrated and eat healthy. Keeping your body in good shape will help you be the best actor you can be.
It’s okay to be nervous. Even as adults we get nervous during auditions. Just give it your best shot. Even if you don’t succeed on your first try you will have gained valuable information and the next time you audition will become that much easier. Taking square breaths is a great way to keep yourself calm, centered, and focused.
Your behavior on and off the stage can easily play a factor in casting. If you are not being respectful of other actors while they audition, you will not be expressing your best self to the production crew. Those students are probably just as nervous as you and could use your support.
Try your hardest and be the best you can be.

Parker Performing Arts - Arts Teachers
PPA Arts Staff will not provide audition coaching for PPA Main Stage Productions, but they are a great resource for sourcing specific materials. If you need assistance locating a monologue or sheet music, please reach out to any of the PPA Arts Staff.
All crew members must have a PPA Technical Theatre Safety Contract on file to participate.
Contract is located at the end of the Safety Handbook. A student only needs to submit one (1) contract for the duration of their education at PPA.
