Short-Term Removal – Student is removed from class to reset, reflect, and prepare for re-entry.
These resets are generally short in duration (30 minutes to half a day) and aim to help students self-regulate and successfully rejoin their peers.
In-School Suspension (ISS) – Student is placed in a supervised location for 1–3 days with academic work and behavior support.
In-School Alternative Program (ISAP) – Student receives instruction and behavioral interventions in a smaller, more structured environment.
Out of School Suspension (OSS)- Student is removed from the school for the remainder of the school day up to 3 days. This is used when behavior is severe in nature or students continue to disrupt the learning environment in ISS or ISAP space.
Virtual Learning Placement – If the student demonstrates an ongoing inability to be safe or successful in any in-person setting, they may be transitioned to remote learning with continued academic and behavioral support.
