On Wednesday, 28 January 2026, the Career Center of Paragon International University, in collaboration with Teach for Cambodia, organized a workshop titled “Emotional Skills: Why They Matter for Your Career & What We’ve Learned.” The workshop aimed to support students in understanding, reflecting on, and intentionally developing emotional skills essential for career readiness.
The workshop addressed key topics, including the concept of emotional skills and their impact on early career performance, insights drawn from Teach for Cambodia’s practical experience, and interactive reflection and group discussions.
The session was facilitated by representatives from Teach for Cambodia, Ms. Jojo Lam and Ms. Vyrada Chhun, who shared practical insights drawn from their professional experience and guided participants through reflective activities and group discussions. Their facilitation encouraged active engagement and helped students connect emotional skills with real-world workplace challenges.
To clearly explain emotional skills and their relevance to early career performance
To enable students to recognize how emotional patterns influence learning, teamwork, and decision-making
To share real-life examples and lessons from Teach for Cambodia’s work in developing leaders in high-pressure, resource-constrained environments

On Friday, 27 February 2026, the Career Center of Paragon International University hosted a workshop called “Building an Effective CV and Cover Letter.” The purpose of the workshop was to help students learn how to prepare better CVs and cover letters. The session included guidance from the HR representative of Paragon International University, Mr. Solhy Ya.
During the workshop, students learned important topics such as how to write a good CV and cover letter, useful tips, common mistakes to avoid, and advice from HR experience that can help improve job applications.
The session was facilitated by the Career Center team: Ms. Socheata Lam, Ms. Saovattana Sy, and Mr. Vattanak Samnang. Our guest speaker, Mr. Solhy Ya, Interim Director of Human Resource of Paragon International University. who has experience in the HR field, shared helpful tips on how students can create strong and effective CVs and cover letters.

How to structure a professional CV
What employers look for in a good cover letter
Common mistakes to avoid when applying for jobs
Tips on how to tailor CVs and cover letters for internships and job opportunities
Insights about current industry expectations from an HR professional
On Thursday, 9 April 2026, the Career Center of Paragon International University, in collaboration with Union Commercial Bank (UCB), successfully organized a company visit to the bank’s Head Office. This event aimed to provide students with practical knowledge into the Banking and Finance sector, while also introducing UCB’s Elite Program.
The session began with an introduction to the Career Center by Ms. Saovattana Sy, followed by a presentation from a representative of Union Commercial Bank, who shared an overview of the bank’s operations and opportunities. A highlight of the event was the experience-sharing session by a Paragon International University alumnus who is currently part of the Elite Program, offering students a real-world perspective on career growth in the banking industry.
