Hello! This year is the start of my 1h year of teaching K-5 Technology. I am starting my 17th year here at PHES! This is the start of my 28th year of Teaching! I graduated College at National-Louis University in Evanston, IL. with a major in Early Childhood and minored in Child Psychology/Human Development. I received my Masters in Teaching at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. I also have taken several technology classes through ASU. I am Co-Advisor for the Yearbook.
I am married and we have a wonderful son, Jackson, who will be a Senior at PHHS!! We adopted two rescue dogs Luna and Graham during the Pandemic, they surely keep us on our toes!! My husband and I are originally from Illinois.
My door is always open as well as my email. Please feel free to email or visit. I am very excited to work with Kindergarten through 5th graders in Technology!

Hello and welcome! My name is Mark Flancbaum, but I sometimes go by Mr. F to make life easier. I am a husband, a father, and a teacher. I have taught in the elementary classroom for 11 years, and this will be my second year teaching technology at PHES.
I have an undergraduate degree from Albion College in Computer Science, a teaching certification from Madonna University, and a Master's Degree in Educational Technology from The University of Colorado, Denver.
Outside of school I love spending time with my wife and son, being active, reading, exploring new technology, and watching and playing sports. I also coach Marathon Kids at PHES and love the opportunity to share my passion for nutrition and a healthy lifestyle with our students.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work with our students and to be a part of the PHES family!
