When 2 vowels are walking the first one usually does the talking. eg. treat, beach, toast
'Magic e' - adding a silent "e" at the end of the word changes the vowel sound from a short vowel to a long vowel sound e.g cake, cube, phone
2 vowels - when 2 vowels are together, it makes a long vowel sound. eg. sheep, keep
We call Y the vowels cousin. When Y is at the end of a word it makes a "e" or "i" sound.
