In this Achievement Standard students are required to report on a biological issue facing society today. Diabetes is of growing concern in our communities which is the reason for our focus on this issue. Students will begin by researching the underlying biology of Diabetes Type II. They will then take control of their own research by designing their own personal focus question to provide a potential solution to minimise or reduce the impact on society. This Achievement Standard will be run in conjunction with the English Department with a Maximum of 7 Literacy Credits available ( 3 Science + 4 English)
