It is my honor and privilege to serve as a school principal. I have a strong passion for working with children and feel grateful for the opportunity to be in this role. Over my 34 years of experience, I spent 10 years as a Special Education teacher, followed by 16 years as a General Education teacher. Additionally, I served as a vice principal at an elementary school for 3 years. Since 2020, I have been the principal of Airai Elementary School, and I am truly honored to be part of such a compassionate, hard-working, and caring school community.
I extend a warm welcome to each one of you at Airai Elementary School. Our vision is to ensure that the students of Airai Elementary School will be successful in the Airai State Community, the Republic of Palau, and the world. As they say, it takes a village to raise a child, and here at Airai Elementary School, we are a close-knit community of teachers, parents, and other members who work together to provide the best for every child. Being educators, it is a tremendous responsibility and opportunity for us to make a positive difference in the lives of our children. I believe in teaching the whole child, which means that we must cater to the needs of every child, be it academic, social, or emotional.
I want to assure you that as the principal of our school, the needs of our students will always be our top priority. Our objective is to provide our students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude to succeed in their future endeavors. We will encourage them to develop a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving, instilling a lifelong passion for learning. We will teach them to cultivate a growth mindset so that they can confidently overcome any obstacles they encounter. Most importantly, we will treat every student with the care and respect they deserve.
I look forward to another amazing school year!
