Diversity Resource Lists

These bibliographies were compiled by the Lower School Librarians with contributions from the Lower School Diversity Committee and faculty. All books are in the Hart Lower School Library and most are in print. Books were chosen to reflect and support the Lower School Multicultural Checklist. The Lower School Multicultural Checklist was developed by the Pre and Lower School faculty as a list criteria to help create a multicultural, inclusive, and anti-biased classroom.

These lists are by no means exhaustive, and simply represents a selection of some of our favorite books supporting diversity. For more ideas and suggestions ask a librarian, or see one of the topic specific diversity lists. Professional materials are not included.
