Meet the Librarians

Megan Kilgallen

Before becoming a librarian Megan lived in Italy working as an ESL teacher. She returned to New York City to pursue her library science degree, and simultaneously worked full-time at the Brooklyn Public Library. She worked as a specialist with children and teens for eight years in the Youth Wing at the Central Library of the Brooklyn Public Library before coming to Packer in 2013.

Mallory Weber

Mallory is a new to Packer librarian who has previously worked at Brooklyn Heights Montessori and Convent of the Sacred Heart. She received her Master's degree from Queens College in Library and Information Studies with a focus on technology. She lives in Sunnyside, Queens.

Christine Rush

Christine has retired after 32 years at Packer.

Christine worked as a librarian, literacy advocate, and educator in a variety of settings. At the Brooklyn Arts and Cultural Alliance she ran storytelling and writing workshops. As a librarian and a consultant for the Brooklyn Public Library she served in a number of branches as well as in the Central Children’s Reading Room. At the New Utrecht Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, Christine was one of three founding librarians to establish The Child’s Place, a federally funded program for preschoolers, parents, caregivers, and teachers. Christine also served as Middle and Pre School Librarian at the Berkeley Carroll Street School before she took on the role of Lower School Librarian at Packer in 1987.
