BORROWING BOOKS: The lending period for students and parents is two weeks. You may renew books for an additional two weeks by bringing the books into the library, or just letting the librarians know in person, or by e-mail. Simply tell us your child’s name and the titles you would like to renew.

OVERDUE, LOST, AND DAMAGED BOOKS: The Hart Library does not charge any overdue fines. However we ask students and parents to remember that our collection is a shared resource and to please return materials in a timely fashion. Over the course of the school year the librarians periodically send home overdue notices either via students’ classroom folders or by e-mail. If you have lost or damaged a library book please contact one of the librarians. Replacement fees vary by book and may be paid in cash or personal check made out to Packer Collegiate Institute. And, of course, if you have any questions about overdue, lost, or damaged books, or about any of our policies, please speak to the librarians.
