As Secondary School Counsellors, we are committed to supporting students in Grades 8–12 with both personal and academic counselling. No concern is too small—students are encouraged to reach out for support with anything that may be impacting their well-being or learning.
Personal counselling may include support with social connections, relationship dynamics (with peers, family, or others), emotional well-being, behaviour, mental health, and navigating life challenges. Support is available for students and, when appropriate, their families.
Academic counselling includes post-secondary planning, academic advising, goal-setting, and career exploration.
Making an appointment:
At the secondary school, counselling can be accessed by signing up in the student services office using our sign up board. Students are invited to put their initials in the time slot they are wanting to come and speak with a counsellor. Students are also able to email a counsellor directly to make an appointment.

Referrals to Outside Agencies
Occasionally, students will require support for personal challenges that go beyond the scope of a school counselling role. As a student services department we are available to work collaboratively with families and students in making referrals to outside agencies.
