As Assistant Principal through the end of the school year at OWN 1 ES, I intentionally model the attributes of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). Guided by the IB Learner Profile, I strive to be reflective, consistently examining my leadership decisions and learning from experience to better serve our students, teachers, and families. I approach my work as an inquirer, seeking feedback and new learning to strengthen our systems and practices, and as a communicator, fostering open dialogue and meaningful partnerships within our school community.
I am especially grateful to return to OWN 1 ES, where my journey began in 2014. Coming back to this community allows me to deepen relationships and strengthen collaboration through the PYP’s emphasis on agency, action, and transdisciplinary learning. As a caring and principled leader, I remain committed to nurturing a culture rooted in trust, shared responsibility, and continuous growth—ensuring that every member of our community feels valued, empowered, and inspired to thrive.
