WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN WORLD WHERE LEARNING IS FUN!!!!

                             HOW WE EXPRESS OURSELVES

During the month of December, kindergarten students continued exploring the unit of inquiry How We Express Ourselves by learning about winter holidays such as Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. They shared stories about their own celebrations and showed open-mindedness and respect while listening to their classmates.

Through fiction and nonfiction read-alouds, students learned the purpose of each holiday and enjoyed singing songs related to Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and “Feliz Navidad.” Students also reenacted stories after watching The Polar Express and How the Grinch Stole Christmas, especially enjoying the classroom transformation into a Polar Express train.

In addition, they contributed recipes to create a Holiday Cookbook and expressed creativity and imagination while decorating gingerbread houses, showing great excitement throughout the holiday season.
