Dear OWN2 School Community,
Welcome to May! As I mentioned last month, we are walking into all the beauty we planted in April to see it bloom in May!
We are excited to welcome each of you to Quarter 4, Family and Community Engagement! We hope you sign up to join us as we celebrate our families throughout the month. Be on the lookout for signup codes posted on Bloomz and check those homework folders for flyers!
While we are entering into the last two months of the school year, we are still dedicated to creating high quality learning experiences for our students and opportunities for them to be creative, stretch their brain and participate in amazing content discourse. Our upper grades, fourth and fifth grades will be participating in a novel study. Our Kindergarten students will learn about how caterpillars turn into butterflies and actually watch the process unfold. Our first graders will learn a how-to process from a member of our community and then write an essay. These are just a few of the awesome activities planned in the building.
Additionally, I will be out of the building during the month of May. Ms, Polanco will be available to support you with any questions or needs you may have. She can be reached via email at vpolanco@owncs.org or by calling the main office at 347-390-3290.
Wishing everyone a fantastic month ahead!
