Title I Annual Meeting
Due August 31st
Purpose
The purpose of Title I is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on the state’s challenging academic content standards and the state’s academic assessments. Each year every school that participates in the Title I program is mandated to hold an annual meeting for parents of students participating in the program.
We recommend that the Title I Annual Meeting on the same evening as Back to School Night.
However, the Title I Annual meeting must be advertised and held as a separate meeting.
