We are lucky to have a part-time librarian, but with 22 classes a week, we rely on parent/caregiver volunteers to help keep the library accessible to students.
It’s a great way to get to know your student’s classmates, Glenview staff and teachers, and parents and caregivers.
What does volunteering at the library look like?
Short (60-90 minutes) weekly or bi-weekly shifts starting the week of August 31st
Volunteers help with:
Reading to classes or in small groups
Checking books in and out
Helping students find books
Reshelving
How do I get involved?
No experience necessary - all training provided during a one-time training the week of August 24th
You must be registered with Oakland School Volunteers to volunteer at Glenview (and all OUSD schools)
