Volunteering at the Pantry
Goal: I will volunteer at our pantry for one hour twice a month for 4 months.
Plan: I will take responsibility for my job within the Pantry. I will ask for feedback on how well I have completed my job.
Evidence: I will get feedback from the customers at the pantry on how well I have done my job. Teacher will confirm attendance and perfomance in my job within the Pantry.
Buddy
Goal: I will consistently support my P1 buddy during Friday lunchtimes for 6 weeks to help them feel safe and included.
Plan: I will find them immediately after I finish eating, ask them what game they want to play, and make sure I introduce them to one new friend each week.
Evidence: I will create an activity tracker in my learning journal and record in this when I have met with my buddy. Playground Learning Assistant or P1 teacher will confirm, include photos of playing with your buddy.
Caring for an Area in the School
Goal: I will improve the tidiness and appeal of a key shared school area (e.g., the library, Gym Cupboard, the open area) for 8 weeks.
Plan: I will spend 10 minutes at the start of lunch, three days a week, tidying/organising this area, and I will create a simple sign to encourage others to help.
Evidence: I will create an activity tracker in my learning journal and record in this when I have tidied the area. Learning Assistant or Teacher will confirm, include photos of tidied area.
Personal Independent Goal
Goal: I will take part in a Kindness project doing a selection of random acts of kindness over a 6 week period.
Plan: I will create a list of random acts of kindness. I will keep a tracker in my learning journal of when I manage these.
Evidence Record in journal when you have carried out act of kindness, get feedback where possible and any photos.
Kindness at Home
Goal: I will consistently do three specific helpful things for a sibling or elderly relative for 6 weeks to show them I care.
Plan: I will set aside 15 minutes every afternoon to read to my younger sibling or help my grandparent with technology/gardening.
Evidence: I will create a tracker in my learning journal and keep a record of when I do this. Get feedback from a family member and record this in journal. Include a photo.
Spreading Positivity
Goal: I will give genuine, specific compliments or encouragement to at least five different people in my outside club (e.g., sports team, drama group, music lesson) each week for 6 weeks.
Plan: I will write down five things I noticed other people did well after each practice/session to remind me what to say next time.
Evidence: I will get feedback from my team or coach when they have noticed me doing this. I will keep a tracker in my Learning Journal.
