into the woods cast:

Alex Aubuchon - Stage Manager, Cinderella's Mother - Alex is super cool and let Léo write some of their bio for them. This is Alex’s first show as a stage manager, and they have been doing drama since they were a fetus. Their favorite pastimes include listening to loud music, writing, swimming, and wearing giant hats. If you see them you must tell them that you like their hat, even if they arent wearing one. Later in life Alex wants to become a musical director, and also a writer.

Talan Bryant - Musical Director - Talan Bryant has been the chorus instructor at Hazen for the past six years, and now also teaches guitar and piano. Between conducting Hazen’s Select Chorus and teaching a seminar on music theory, Talan can be found playing on his Nintendo Switch, gardening, and jamming on his guitar.

Katrina Chaves - The Steward - Katrina is a Junior at Hazen Union High school. Into the Woods is her second play at Hazen Union. She was the lead in the play Witness. She hopes to one day go to the college AMDA and study there as an actress.

Rebekah Cloutier - Milky-White - Rebekah is a eighth grader who loves music and theatre. This is her second show with Hazen, as well as having been in seven other shows. Her favorite things to do are writing and playing music, and reading short stories. She would like to thank her Mom for getting her into theatre, and helping make it possible for her to do shows.

Marc Considine - Director -

Mariana Considine - Little Red Riding Hood - Mariana Considine is a sophomore at Hazen Union School. She has been performing since she was nine years old, with various groups including Ballet Wolcott, the Mirror Theater (GAAR,) Get Thee to the Funnery, and Lost Nation Theater. Most recently she played Lady Blanche in Hazen's spring production of The Princess, which was performed for the One Act Festival. She is excited to continue working within the Hazen drama program and is always looking for new opportunities!

Deanna Gann - Rapunzel - Deanna has been in over 16 plays and wishes to continue acting in the future. She enjoys music and acting, along with writing and playing basketball. She would like to thank both of her parents for supporting her in everything she does. She also wants to thank her siblings, aunts, uncles, and grandparents for being her fans, and for coming to every show she is in. She is excited to continue to act with the Hazen Union Drama Club for the next three years.

Olie Grant - Mysterious Man - Olie has been acting with Hazen Union Drama for years. When they were in 4th grade they started their long trip as a musical actor. They are an artist, and a musician. They sing, play saxophone and ukulele. They would like to thank Audrey, their sister, for encouraging them to continue doing what they do now. They are starting their 10th grade year, and excited for the shows ahead of them.

Robin Grant - Lighting Designer, Board Operator - Robin is a parent of Audrey and Olie, and through that has seen every show they’ve done. His daughter Audrey is following in his footsteps of videography and lighting design. When Hazen got a new light board, one that he used when he worked at St. Ann’s in the late 90s, he helped Audrey and Marc Considine learn the board. Last year he helped with the Regional One Acts when Hazen hosted. He works at Dartmouth and Flynn doing technical theater, and does freelance media conversion and camera work. He hopes you enjoy the show, and would like to thank his many Volvos through the years that have always gotten him to where he needed to be.

Krista Hebert - Cinderella - Krista is 18 and has been in five musicals at Hazen Union, Into The Woods being her sixth. She is a senior now at Hazen Union. Krista enjoys singing and all things music. She had her first lead role in the Sound Of Music last year. Krista would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her theater and musical experience.

Ronan Hill - Rapunzel’s Prince - Ronan is 18 years old. He just finished his senior year at Hazen Union High school. He was Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye, Birdie, and Demetrius in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer’s Night Dream. He enjoys traveling new places, meeting new people and learning new things.

Brianna Hislop - Cinderella’s Stepmother - Brianna is 17 years old. She has participated in past plays which include Midsummer Night's Dream and Wizard of Oz. Her favorite thing to do is hang with friends and listen to music. She can play guitar and loves Harry Potter. She plans to continue to participate in the plays put on by her school.

Kaitlyn Kaiser - Jack’s Mother, Grandmother- KK is now a junior at Hazen Union High School. This is her fifth musical at Hazen, she has also been in Bye Bye Birdie, The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Witness and Almost Maine. Aside from theater, KK enjoys solitude away from most human beings, chocolate, and playing Ukulele. Later in life she would like to keep doing theatre as a side activity, a outlet for the stress that is life.

Eleni Karabrasini - Florinda - Eleni is a senior at Hazen Union School. She was Hermia in a school production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This is her first musical with Hazen and will be attending UVM in the fall. She enjoys sleeping in her free time… Thanks to everyone who has helped to put on the show!

Clara Lew-Smith - Lucinda - Clara is a senior at Hazen Union. She has acted in several Shakespeare plays, but this is her first production with Hazen. She also sings and plays saxophone, and she enjoys traveling, being outside, learning about the world, and eating. It is important to her that the audience knows that the relationship between Lucinda and Florinda depicted on stage is, in fact, not acting, but a reflection of the off-stage relationship between the two actors.

Léo McMurtrie - The Narrator - Léo is a freshman at Hazen union High school. This is his 3rd musical, also being in Bye Bye Birdie and The Sound of Music. He’s also been in 3 Hazen plays, Witness, Almost Maine, and The Princess. Besides drama, Léo really likes drawing and sleeping. Later in life he wants to pursue a career in animation, and somehow get into CALarts or some other prestigious art college and be in debt his entire life.

George Race - Jack - George Race is going into his sophomore year at Hazen Union High School. He has played Friedrich Bhaer in Little Women, Jimmy in Almost, Maine and Mr. MacAfee in Bye Bye, Birdie. He is in Hazen’s Select chorus, and loves performing. He’d like to thank everyone who helped with the production!

James Tedesco - Cinderella’s Prince, The Wolf - James just graduated from Hazen. He was in Hazen’s Select Chorus and debate club. He enjoys jamming on the guitar and making jokes. This is his first show with Hazen in a while, having been in the ensemble of Oliver! In 2013. He’s going to UVM in the fall, and hopes everyone enjoys the show.

Bre Valdez - The Witch - Bre is a Senior at Hazen Union High School and Into The Woods is her second musical with the drama program. She previously starred in Hazen Drama’s production of Bye Bye, Birdie as “Rosie Alvarez.” Bre will be attending Westminster Choir College (Princeton, NJ) to pursue a career in classical voice performance.

Tyler Welles - The Baker - Tyler is a going to be a senior at Hazen. While he has been told to join drama for the past several years, this is his first production. Tyler is a very passionate, charming, considerate, clever student on his way to early college in his senior year. While he was hesitant to join the show at first, he hopes to be available for future productions at Hazen. l

Lydia Wright - Baker’s Wife - Lydia has been in four musicals with the Hazen Drama department. She is a new graduate of Hazen, and was in Hazen’s select chorus, and enjoys doing nothing in her free time. Thanks Mom!
