Madelyn Emmers '17 -
Isiah Friend '18 - He was the main guy in the opening scene with the most stage time in the last play.
Krista Hebert - Krista is 17 and has been in 5 musicals at Hazen Union. She is a senior now at Hazen Union. Krista enjoys singing and all things music. She had her first lead role in the Sound Of Music last year. Krista would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her theater and musical experience.
Ronan Hill '18 - Rapunzel’s Prince - Ronan is 18 years old. He just finished his senior year at Hazen Union High school. He was Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye, Birdie, and Demetrius in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer’s Night Dream. He enjoys traveling new places, meeting new people and learning new things.
Eleni Karabrasini '18 - Florinda - Eleni is a senior at Hazen Union School. She was Hermia in a school production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This is her first musical with Hazen and will be attending UVM in the fall. She enjoys sleeping in her free time… Thanks to everyone who has helped to put on the show!
Clara Lew-Smith '18 - Lucinda - Clara is a senior at Hazen Union. She has acted in several Shakespeare plays, but this is her first production with Hazen. She also sings and plays saxophone, and she enjoys traveling, being outside, learning about the world, and eating. It is important to her that the audience knows that the relationship between Lucinda and Florinda depicted on stage is, in fact, not acting, but a reflection of the off-stage relationship between the two actors.
Solomon Race '18 - Soloman is a 18 year-old well rounded academic. He focuses lots of time on almost anything pertaining music. This play was perfect for him because of all of the great and famous songs. Soloman has spent his whole entire high school and middle school career dedicating himself to the Hazen drama program. He’s been in several musicals but what he usually puts more effort into are the one act festivals. In his three years of highschool so far he has been to four drama festivals. The festivals are held throughout Vermont annually and have given Soloman a great sense of how other drama programs and schools work and produce plays. Soloman appreciates his directors and school for doing such a good job managing and directing the play considering things such as budget, and the amount of adults supporting the play. Soloman is proud to be part of the Hazen drama club and, he is proud of Hazen drama club.
Meghan Rublee '17
James Tedesco '18 - Cinderella’s Prince, The Wolf - James just graduated from Hazen. He was in Hazen’s Select Chorus and debate club. He enjoys jamming on the guitar and making jokes. This is his first show with Hazen in a while, having been in the ensemble of Oliver! In 2013. He’s going to UVM in the fall, and hopes everyone enjoys the show.
Lydia Wright '18 - Lydia has been in 3 musicals with the Hazen Drama department. She is a senior at Hazen, and is in Hazen’s select chorus, and enjoys doing nothing in her free time. Thanks Mom!
Bre Valdez '18 - Bre transferred to Hazen Union Highschool this year as a senior, and is very pleased to be working with the school’s wonderful drama program. Previously, she has played Kate Macgregor in Lamoille County Players’ production of Brigadoon, and Annie in Craftsbury Academy’s production of Annie. She also participates in Hazen’s select chorus and debate team, and is training as a classical vocalist. Bre would like to thank her grandparents for being supportive in all of her endeavors, and she would like to thank Mark Violet, accompanist, for his skill and patience in teaching the cast the music of Bye Bye Birdie.
