Bre Valdez - Rose Alvarez - Bre transferred to Hazen Union Highschool this year as a senior, and is very pleased to be working with the school’s wonderful drama program. Previously, she has played Kate Macgregor in Lamoille County Players’ production of Brigadoon, and Annie in Craftsbury Academy’s production of Annie. She also participates in Hazen’s select chorus and debate team, and is training as a classical vocalist. Bre would like to thank her grandparents for being supportive in all of her endeavors, and she would like to thank Mark Violet, accompanist, for his skill and patience in teaching the cast the music of Bye Bye Birdie.
Lydia Wright - Albert Peterson - Lydia has been in 3 musicals with the Hazen Drama department. She is a senior at Hazen, and is in Hazen’s select chorus, and enjoys doing nothing in her free time. Thanks Mom!
Sydney Aubuchon - Kim MacAfee - Sydney has been doing drama for five years. Her first role was a pickpocket in Oliver Twist, and she has participated in over seven shows since. She is incredibly excited to finally have a lead role, and would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her through it all.
Ronan Hill - Conrad Birdie - Ronan is 17 years old. He is a senior in Hazen Union High school. He has been in one play prior to this production of Bye Bye Birdie. He played Demetrius in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer’s Night Dream. He enjoys traveling new places, meeting new people and learning new things.
George Race - Harry MacAfee - George Race is a freshman at Hazen Union High School. He has played Friedrich Bhaer, from Hazens production of Little Women. And Jimmy from Hazen’s production of Almost, Maine. He is in Hazen’s Select chorus, and loves performing. He'd like to thank Audrey Grant our amazing stage manager, and his cats Poppy, Thomas, and Sunny (Stumpy).

Maddie Foster-Pudvah - Doris MacAfee - is a sophomore at Hazen Union school. She’s been in 13 plays and musicals throughout her life. She enjoys baking, acting and reading. She would like to thank everyone who has helped her memorize her lines.
Elias Robertson - Randolph MacAfee - Elias is 12 years old, has been in 9 musicals, and is in his 10th! His favorite things to do are sing, play his alto Saxophone, play video games, swim, and act! Yeah, have fun seeing the show!
Krista Hebert - Ursula - Krista is 17 and has been in 5 musicals at Hazen Union. She is a senior now at Hazen Union. Krista enjoys singing and all things music. She had her first lead role in the Sound Of Music last year. Krista would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her theater and musical experience.
Mariana Considine - Ensemble, Sad Girl, Mayor’s Wife - Is a sophomore at Hazen Union High School. She has been performing since she was nine years old, recently as Doc in Ballet Wolcott’s production of Snow White, Sara Chickering in Hazen Union’s production of Witness, (performed at the regional drama festival, where she won an award for Excellence in Acting,) and as Liesl Von Trapp in Hazen Union’s production of The Sound of Music. She played Marvalyn/Shelly in Hazen's spring production of Almost, Maine. This fall she has not been as involved in this production as she would have perhaps liked to be, because she has been performing in Sense and Sensibility with Lost Nation Theater.
Rebekah Cloutier - Alice, Gloria Rasputin - Rebekah is a seventh grader who loves music and theatre. Though this is her first show with Hazen, she has been in 7 other shows. Her favorite things to do are writing and playing music, and reading short stories. She would like to thank her mom for getting her into theatre, and helping make it possible for her to do shows.
Leo McMurtrie - Harvey Johnson, Reporter, Ed Sullivan - Leo is really excited to be apart of this production! This is his second musical, other roles he's been in was Max in the Sound of Music, Easton in Almost Maine, and Johnny Reeves in Witness. Leo loves drawing and working with Stand Up when he's not stuck with school work. He hopes anyone who reads this has an awesome day and feels great about themselves.
Deanna Gann - Nancy - Deanna is a ninth grader that has been acting since the third grade. She has been in 16 plays and musicals including Bye Bye Birdie. She enjoys music and acting very much, at home she reads and listens to music constantly. She would like to think her whole family, including her siblings, parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents for always supporting her.
Olie Grant - Margie - Olie has been acting with Hazen Union Drama for years. When they were in 4th grade they started their long trip as a musical actor. They are an artist, and a musician. They sing, play saxophone and ukulele. They would like to thank Audrey, their sister, for encouraging them to continue doing what they do now. They are now in 9th grade, and exited for the shows ahead of them.
Xavier Hart-Marion - Ensemble, Reporter, Bartender - Xavier is excited to be in Hazen’s Bye Bye Birdie. He’s a sophomore at Hazen, and enjoys chorus, and drawing. He’d like to thank himself for always being there for him.
Dylan Kempton - Ensemble, Mayor - Dylan loves drama, youtube and wrestling. He wants to be a wrestler when he graduates. He played Harvey in Witness last spring. He enjoys doing drama at Hazen and other things to do with drama as well.
Megan Gifford - Ensemble - Megan is a seventh grader that loves to play music. She has been in five plays and has loved being in them all. At home she likes to learn songs on the ukulele and spend time with her dogs and cat. She would like to thank her mom for encouraging her to continue doing plays.
Maya Remick - Penelope - Maya Remick is in grade 8 at Hazen Union. She stated started acting in fourth grade when she played the role of Toto in “The Wizard of Oz”. Moving up in grades, she went from Pepper in Annie to the Genie in Aladdin to Louisa in The Sound of Music, to now Penelope-Ann. Maya loves swimming, skiing, and most importantly acting. She would like to thank Audrey for lighting, Tess martin for helping with costumes and a lot more, Mark Violette for piano accompaniment, and finally Bruce Fortman for being our drummer.
Bailey Shepard - Ensemble - Bailey has been in 6 shows this is his first show with Hazen Union. Bailey is in select chorus, shop class, dogs. He is part of student council and playing his trombone. He loves helping out people and being in school group and clubs.

Audrey Grant - Stage Manager - This is Audrey’s second Hazen musical doing stage managing and lighting design. Sound of Music, which Hazen did last fall, was her first time doing more managing and lighting design. Through that she found her love of theater and plans to go to college for stage management or lighting design someday. Besides drama, she has done a lot of work on social justice issues. She would like to thank her Dad, Mr. Considine and anyone who has taught her theater ins and outs.

Michelle Gao - Master Wardrobe - Michelle is a sophomore at Hazen Union. This is Michelle’s second Hazen Musical. She helped with last year’s musical, The Sound of Music. She is in chorus and enjoys music and hanging out with friends.
Maya Fliegelman - Backstage Tech - Is a seventh grader who loves to read and draw. She has been in two shows. She would like to thank her mom for encouraging her to do this.
