A premium is the cost of the insurance plan. 

Who Pays Premiums?

• Active Certificated 50 - 99.99% FTE employees enrolled in medical and/or dental insurance

• Retired employees

  • Retired on or before 06/30/18
    Pay the premium cost of the plan less the medical stipend, if eligible.

  • Retired on or after 07/01/18
    If enrolled under COBRA continuation, pay the premium cost plus a 2% administrative fee.

• Terminated Employees or On Unpaid LOA
  If enrolled under COBRA continuation, pay the premium cost plus a 2% administrative fee. (For information about FMLA / CFRA benefits, please see Continuation Options for benefit options.)
