Flexible Spending

Plan Administrator

The Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is an IRS-authorized account available through OUSD and administered through Inspira Financial/ PayFlex Systems USA, Inc.

Employees enrolled in this plan will not pay income or Social Security taxes on the amount contributed to an FSA, thereby lowering their taxable income. This will slightly decrease the employee's average earnings reported to the IRS for Social Security retirement benefits; however, the current tax savings more than offset this loss.

All services must be incurred by the last day of the plan year; any remaining funds will be forfeited and used to offset the administrative cost of the program.
