Reporting and Writing

From a young age, I have always enjoyed creative writing and contemporary literature. Starting in elementary school, I would enter short story and poetry competitions already eager to display my passion for writing to the world. As an 8th grader, I began taking more specialized classes catering to my love for writing such as creative writing and advanced contemporary literature. This introduction to writing is partially what inspired me to join the newspaper entering high school, as I found writing stories for larger audiences compelling. I now love chasing stories and having the autonomy to write news, opinion, entertainment, and feature pieces that I am passionate about and want to pursue. Included in the subpages are some of my pieces of writing that I am the most proud of.
